Home is important to us, and we know it’s important to you. So, while we’re making your home look breathtaking, we’re also committing to protecting and preserving our global home: the world’s environment.

As a leader in Toronto’s decorating community, we think it’s important to set the standard for environmental stewardship. With that in mind, we wanted to share a few ways we incorporate environmental action and sustainability in all that we do.

We’re Pledging 1% of Our Sales to the Planet

It’s not enough to just say you support the environment. We understand that. Real change takes real effort. Action requires resources. To help fund those efforts, we’ve joined the 1% for the Planet program. The 1% Fund is an international initiative that encourages businesses to contribute one percent of their sales to grassroots projects working to preserve and protect our environment. Joining the ranks of other businesses, like Patagonia and Avocado Green Mattress, that have pledged one percent, this is a cause that we stand firmly behind. We hope it inspires our peers and clients to make a similar pledge.

A Painting Company that Prioritizes Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Funding is important for helping the environment but so are better business practices. We recognize that as a business we have a responsibility to ourselves, our community, and the world. That’s why we make every effort to find the safest and most sustainable ways to operate our business and reduce the environmental impact when decorating your home. Here are some of our best practices:

  • Limiting waste during each project by ordering the correct paint quantities. With our proprietary estimating software we can order paint to an accuracy within 1 quart. This saves unused paint from filling up landfills and saves our clients money.

  • Recycle cardboard and other job materials whenever possible

  • Recycle empty paint gallons. YES!! You can recycle empty gallons and pails with Lowe’s by brushing out any remaining paint inside.

  • Choosing reusable materials like Floortex paper rather than disposable products.

Recycling plays a major role in limiting the environmental footprint of firms working in the construction industry. When done right, it can also save our clients’ money and resources on their projects.

Choosing Environmentally-Friendly Products

We never thought our years of experience in painting could benefit the environment, until we noticed our common practices help conserve precious resources. We always take precise measurements and work to estimate accurately. This helps cut down on over-estimating paint and other supplies, conserving product.

Picture Perfect donates 1% of sales to not-for-profit organizations in our community supporting environmental causes while implementing industry-leading sustainability practices.

The paint industry has come a long way in creating more environmentally friendly products. We incorporate mineral-based and LOW/NO VOC paints into all our projects. Paint brands like Romabio and Benjamin Moore excel at manufacturing leading environmentally-friendly coatings. By helping protect the world’s environment, we are also creating a safer and cleaner working environment for your family and our Picture Perfect employees.

A dedication to environmental responsibility drives us to improve every facet of our business. We hope that inspires others in our industry to do the same.
